The cup becomes an interface between the humans and the building. It mediates single actions of the user to the building, such as tilting a cup or stirring with a spoon.

The actions are used to manpulate the input for one sense and increase input for two others. By decreasing the light in a space we start to use our other senses to make up for the loss, we hear and smell much more all of a sudden. To stimulate one or more of our sense it is often needed to decrease the sensibility in another one.
